Legal
Terms & Conditions
These terms govern the use of this website and the donations made through it. By using this website, you accept these terms.
Effective 25 October 2026
1. About us
This website is operated by Leila's Friends Association, a Swiss association registered in the Swiss Commercial Register under identification number CH-501-6015569-5. The Association supports children and vulnerable families with healthcare, education and essential humanitarian assistance.
Contact: leilasfriendsfoundation@gmail.com.
2. Use of the website
You may use this website for personal, non-commercial purposes. When using it, you agree not to:
- interfere with the operation or security of the website;
- attempt to access data that is not intended for you;
- use the website in a way that is unlawful, misleading or harmful to others;
- copy or reuse the content of the website for commercial purposes without our permission.
3. Donations
- Donations are voluntary contributions to the activities of the Association. They are not payments for goods or services and do not create membership or any other relationship beyond the donation itself.
- Donations are processed securely by our payment provider Stripe. You can choose between a one-time donation and a recurring (monthly) donation; the available amounts are shown in the donation form.
- Monthly donations recur automatically on the schedule you selected until they are cancelled. You can cancel at any time by contacting us at leilasfriendsfoundation@gmail.com or through your payment provider.
- If you would like a written confirmation of your donation for your records, contact us and we will provide one.
4. Refunds
Because donations are voluntary contributions, they are generally non-refundable. If a donation was made in error, in the wrong amount, or more often than you intended, contact us promptly — we review every such request in good faith and will refund donations that were clearly made by mistake or through a technical error.
5. Campaigns and use of funds
- Donations designated for a specific campaign or project are used to support that campaign or project, as described on its page.
- If a campaign cannot be carried out as described, or if the support it receives exceeds what it can meaningfully use, donations will be used for a comparable purpose within the Association's mission. We report on how donations are used on our website.
- Donations not designated for a specific campaign support the Association's activities as a whole, as described in the section on how donations are used.
6. Information, stories and photographs
We take great care to present accurate information about our work and the families we support, and to protect the dignity and privacy of the children and families featured on this website. Their stories and photographs are published only with the consent of the families concerned.
The stories, photographs and figures on this website are provided for informational purposes. Where a figure is presented as a confirmed payment total, it reflects verified payments received through our payment provider.
7. Intellectual property
The content of this website — including text, photographs, layout and logos — belongs to Leila's Friends Association or is used with permission. You may share and quote our content in connection with informing others about our work, with attribution. Any other use, in particular commercial reuse, requires our prior written consent.
8. Links to other websites
This website links to third-party websites, such as the payment pages of Stripe and our Instagram profile. We do not control these websites and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data.
9. Liability
We take care to keep this website accurate and available, but we provide it without warranty of uninterrupted availability or freedom from errors. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for damage arising from the use of this website is limited to cases of intent or gross negligence. These limitations do not apply to donations processing errors, which we correct under Section 4.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and the use of this website are governed by Swiss law. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is the registered seat of the Association, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence.
11. Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms from time to time. Amendments take effect when published on this page. The version published on this page, with its effective date, is the version that applies.
